“ Absolute perfection. The place is tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of Kyoto. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided superb service from start to finish. The smooth jazz playing in the background while being able to watch the chefs and staff prepare each dish created the perfect atmosphere for my best meal in Japan during my two week stay. Ordered the classic dinner set with the sirloin option and was blown away with each bite. The roast beef? Fantastic. The brisket? Best I’ve ever had hands down. The soup? I don’t even like soup and I was savoring every single bite… it was that good. I had “better” and more expensive beef while in Japan and none of them compared to this meal. Every bite melted in your mouth and was a waterfall of flavor. The dessert? Unreal. Some members of the staff spoke English and whom I think was the owner even came to ask me how my steak was… it was the best; you could tell the care, attention to detail, and labor that went into each dish. All I can say is wow. Was savoring the meal hours after it ended it was that flavorful. Will definitely be back if I return to Japan. Words can’t describe the experience that occurs due to the incredible staff at Hafuu. 10/10 recommend. Hats off the to the incredible team at Hafuu. ”
